6 MINUTE READ
April 7, 2020

Location: Peru (countrywide)

Event:  We received flight authorizations from the Peruvian government today for additional repatriation flights on April 8 and April 9. All confirmed passengers will receive a flight confirmation email with a linked transit letter. Travelers should print and use this letter while traveling to the designated flight meeting point. If you cannot print the transit letter, have it available on your phone or another electronic device. It is your responsibility to get to the meeting location we provide you on time. Be prepared to travel on short notice.

We do not anticipate ongoing, regularly scheduled flights. We urge U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States to take advantage of any forthcoming options (U.S. government or private charter) we are able to announce as soon as they come available. If you cannot board an upcoming flight, be prepared to remain in Peru until the country’s government ends its nationwide restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The ACTours charter flight from Lima to Miami is confirmed for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8. Those who expressed interest will receive information directly from the company.

The Government of Peru announced stricter quarantine measures for Holy Week holidays April 9 and 10. All routine businesses will be closed this Thursday and Friday except for emergency medical services (Supreme Decree Nº 061-2020-PCM).  Women are allowed to conduct permitted activities such as shopping for food and medicine and banking on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, while men are allowed to do the same on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Peruvian security forces are instructed to respect the rights of transgender and non-gender binary individuals.

We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
