Alert: August 14 Repatriation Flight Postponed

August 14 Repatriation Flight Update:  The Peruvian government notified the U.S. Embassy that the August 14 repatriation flight organized by Solange Reps Travel Agency will be rescheduled to a new date.  ​The U.S. Embassy will announce the new date for the flight via these email alerts as soon as it is confirmed.  Passengers are advised to be prepared to extend lodging and change local travel arrangements accordingly.

Future Repatriation Flights to Depart from Jorge Chávez International Airport:  The Peruvian government indicated that future repatriation flights will move from the Grupo 8 Peruvian Air Force Base to Jorge Chavez International Airport, but did not provide a specific date for this change.

The repatriation flight organized by Solange Reps Travel Agency scheduled for August 21 is pending Peruvian government approval.  Repatriation flights organized by other countries have also been rescheduled.  U.S. citizens and LPRs traveling on flights with destinations or layovers in other countries should contact travel providers directly for more information.  The U.S. Embassy will inform any further updates via these email alerts.  The Jorge Chávez International Airport remains closed for international commercial flights.

The U.S. Embassy continues to work with the Peruvian government and multiple travel providers to offer additional repatriation flights for August and September.  We will continue to announce all viable travel options in these email alerts.  Please continue to follow all Peruvian government health and safety guidelines and quarantine restrictions.
