April 20, 2020

Location: Peru (countrywide)

Event: At 3:00 PM today, an Eastern Airlines flight is departing from Lima to Miami. Tomorrow, April 21 is the last regularly scheduled commercial repatriation flight. Eastern Airlines still has availability for tomorrow’s flight. The flight is open to U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents. Purchase tickets online at https://goeasternair.com, or by calling +1 (855) 216-7601, or WhatsApp +52-1-800-953-1800.

Eastern Airlines will provide transit letters to all ticketed passengers to get to the flight meeting point at the U.S. Embassy in Lima (Avenida La Encalada 1615, Santiago de Surco 15023, Lima, Peru). Please arrive at the U.S. Embassy at 9:30 AM for check-in. Contact Eastern Airlines directly for more information on luggage allowances and traveling with pets.

Flight Standby Guidance: We are working to ensure that all families will travel together. Eastern Airlines will also be selling tickets at the U.S. Embassy from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM April 21 on a first-come first-served basis.

Uncertainty of flights beyond April 21: We remind all U.S. citizens that the government of Peru has authorized only humanitarian flights scheduled through April 21. After April 21, the Peruvian government will authorize emergency flights only and will consider each request on a case-by-case basis. We are aware that certain commercial airlines are advertising flights from Peru to the United States for the month of May. Please note that, at this time, there is no indication that the Peruvian Government will authorize commercial flights in the foreseeable future, as Peru’s borders and commercial airports across Peru remain closed.

Our team continues its dedicated effort to bring  #AmericansHome.
