Event: The U.S. Embassy is coordinating with the Peruvian government and multiple airlines to identify all viable options for U.S. citizens to return to the United States while the main commercial airport in Peru and all borders remain closed. Eastern Airlines: The Eastern Airlines flight scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6, from Lima to Miami is sold out. Confirmed passengers should meet at the U.S. Embassy (Avenida La Encalada 1615, Santiago de Surco 15023, Lima) tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. Eastern is now selling tickets for an additional flight on Wednesday, May 13. Peru’s Gradual Economic Recovery Plan: On Sunday, May 3, the Government of Peru published a legislative decree that stipulates the gradual re-opening of the economy in four stages. The first stage of the recovery, which starts this month, will enable certain restaurants to offer on-site pick-up and home delivery services. Additionally, limited hotel and tourist transportation services will be allowed.
