Alert: Flight and Bus Schedule Updates – U.S. Embassy Lima, Peru
April 1, 2020

Location: Peru (countrywide)

Event: No flights are scheduled for tomorrow, April 2.  Please do not come to the Cusco or Lima rally points on April 2.  Flights out of Lima will resume on Friday, April 3.   We currently have no repatriation flights scheduled from Cusco past Friday, April 3.

The U.S. Embassy in Lima is coordinating buses from Piura, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Chimbote, Tacna, Arequipa, and the Ica region.  If you are interested in taking these buses, for onward flights out of Lima back to the United States, please register immediately.   Americans in Peru who turn down land or air transport should understand that we cannot guarantee these arrangements indefinitely.

If you have not already done so, and are interested in a repatriation flight from Peru, please register at our Repatriation Flight Registration Form.  DO NOT register multiple times.  Please provide complete contact information in the form.

On March 31, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo highlighted the extraordinary efforts the Department of State is making to bring U.S. Citizens home from more than 50 countries, including Peru.  He also emphasized that we cannot guarantee the U.S. Government’s ability to arrange chartered flights indefinitely.  All Americans should immediately make arrangements if you wish to return home.

Beware of scams. Up-to-date and credible information can be found on the U.S. Embassy’s website and social media platforms.

We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
