Location: Peru (countrywide)
Event: Today, 450 Americans departed Peru, bringing the total number of repatriations to approximately 5,600. There is a flight confirmed on April 6; no flights are scheduled for Tuesday, April 7. We continue to work with Peruvian authorities and the private sector to arrange additional flights for the coming week and will send updates as soon as we can confirm these. Be prepared to commit to a repatriation flight out of Peru on short notice and arrive at the designated meeting locations on time. Confirming and failing to appear inhibits us from helping others depart in a timely manner.
The U.S. Embassy-organized transportation from Arequipa, Ica, Iquitos, Paracas, Pisco, Pucallpa, and Tacna will arrive in Lima tomorrow morning for the afternoon repatriation flight. We are aware there are U.S. citizens who remain in Lima and other regions of Peru, and we are exploring every option to get you home to the United States.
We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
