Location: Peru (countrywide)
Event: To date, the U.S. Embassy has repatriated approximately 6,050 Americans. No U.S. government charter flights are scheduled today, April 7. Two flights are scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, subject to Peruvian Government approval. We will notify travelers as soon as we receive flight authorizations. We continue to work with Peruvian authorities and the private sector to arrange additional flights. We urge U.S. citizens who want to return to the United States to take advantage of any forthcoming options we are able to announce.
Private tour operator ACTours notified the U.S. Embassy of an online form for travelers to express interest in a flight from Lima to Miami on Wednesday, April 8. To register your interest, please click on this link: https://actours.typeform.com/to/mnce59. Expressing interest with ACTours does not take you off the U.S. Embassy’s repatriation list.
The Government of Peru announced stricter quarantine measures for Holy Week holidays April 9 and 10. All routine businesses will be closed on Thursday and Friday except for emergency medical services (Supreme Decree Nº 061-2020-PCM). For more information on Peru’s national quarantine, check out the embassy’s COVID-19 page.
We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
