Location: Peru (countrywide)
Event: We are diligently working towards a U.S. government-facilitated direct-bill commercial flight for Tuesday, April 14, pending the necessary approvals from the Government of Peru. We urge U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States to take advantage of any available options. If you cannot board an upcoming flight, be prepared to remain in Peru until the country’s government ends its nationwide restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
STEP Notification Update: We made a temporary change to email messaging for the health and safety of all Americans unexpectedly kept abroad during the COVID-19 crisis. To ensure that everyone in Peru is receiving alerts and email updates, it is not possible at this time for STEP registrants to opt-out of receiving messages. You will still continue to receive important alerts via email even if you “unsubscribe” on STEP. Normal email message processing will resume at the conclusion of the COVID-19 crisis.
We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
