Flights: Warrior Angels Rescue notified the U.S. Embassy that its flight scheduled for today, Tuesday, April 28, is cancelled. The flight has been tentatively rescheduled for Thursday, April 30. Warrior Angels Rescue will set the meeting location for this flight; it will not be the U.S. Embassy.
The Eastern Airlines emergency repatriation flights from Lima to Miami on Wednesday, April 29, and Wednesday, May 6, are completely booked. Eastern is planning a flight for Monday, May 4. Transit Letters for Ticket Holders: The U.S. Embassy provides transit letters for Lima-based ticket holders directly to the organizing airline or travel agency. Passengers with a confirmed ticket should contact the airline or travel provider directly for a Lima transit letter. Under certain circumstances, the U.S. Embassy may provide transit letters directly to travelers. Travelers coming from outside Lima should email PeruRepatriations@state.gov with the subject line “Transit Letter Request” only once they have confirmed their ticket and with at last 24 hours notice for instructions on how to obtain a travel letter.
