Event: Today, 238 Americans departed Peru, bringing the total number of repatriations to approximately 6,875.  Our next flight scheduled from Lima to Miami, with a stop in Iquitos, will be on Saturday, April 11.  We are assisting Americans in Arequipa to enable them to travel on that same flight.  There are no embassy-facilitated flights on Friday, April 10, or Sunday, April 12.

Private tour operator Solange Reps has confirmed a private charter flight from Lima to Miami tomorrow, Friday, April 10.  To register your interest, please click on this link:  https://forms.gle/Ldgy3FxBDEsPPZXZ8.  This is not a U.S. Embassy-sponsored flight.  The company will contact those who expressed interest directly for flight confirmations.

Yesterday, Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra announced that emergency measures in Peru, including the closure of borders, will continue through April 26.  Tomorrow, April 10, all routine business will be closed and no one will be allowed to leave their residence except to obtain emergency medical services (Supreme Decree Nº 061-2020-PCM).

We encourage everyone to comply with the Peruvian Government’s quarantine measures and to follow the instructions of Peruvian authorities.  Limit your time outside and carry your identification and phone.  Wear a facemask while out in public.

We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
