Phase 4 of Economic Reactivation: On Friday, September 25, Peruvian President Martín Vizcarra announced that Peru will begin phase 4 of economic reactivation in October, including the resumption of a limited number of international flights. Beginning October 1, stores will be able to operate at 60% capacity and restaurants at 50%; travel agencies and tour operators may resume operations, while bars and cinemas will remain closed. Return of Limited International Flights: Media outlets report that international flights will resume on October 5 to and from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. At this time, we have not received a notification from the Government of Peru as to when flights to or from the United States will resume. Should you wish to travel to the United States, it may be possible to do so by connecting to a U.S.-bound flight from one of the countries listed above, but travelers should check https://travel.state.gov/ for country-specific travel information before deciding to transit through one of these countries as their regulations may change at any time. Please work directly with your travel provider for available options.
