Alert: Sunday Quarantine, Repatriation Flights and Transit Letters, Peru (May 2, 2020)

Location: Peru (countrywide)

Event:  Per the Peruvian Government’s quarantine measures, Sundays are restricted, with no one allowed to leave their residences for non-emergency business such as such as grocery shopping or visiting a pharmacy. We encourage everyone to follow the instructions of Peruvian authorities. 

Eastern Airlines: Seats are still available for the Eastern Airlines Lima to Miami charter flight scheduled for Monday, May 4.  Another Lima to Miami flight is scheduled on Wednesday, May 6.  Flights are open to U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs).  Passengers may bring pets on these flights. Solange Reps:   The Friday, May 8 charter flight from Lima to Miami organized by private tour operator Solange Reps is sold out.  This is not a U.S. Embassy flight.  For more information call +1 (786) 387-0000 or +51-952-396-417.  Solange Reps is considering additional flights. We will share information about additional flights as they become available.

Transit Letters:   Travelers in the Lima area should contact the airline or travel provider directly for a transit letter.  Regional travelers en route to Lima for a repatriation flight may contact the Embassy directly for a personalized transit letter.  We do not provide transit letters for general travel within Peru.  We provide transit letters only to travelers with a confirmed seat on a repatriation flight.
