Health Alert  – U.S. Embassy Lima March 23 2020

Location:  Peru (outside Lima and Cusco)

Event:   The U.S. Embassy in Lima continues to coordinate closely with the Peruvian Government on all options for U.S. citizens to depart the country and are arranging charter aircraft.  To date, approximately 500 American tourists departed Peru.  The U.S. Embassy will continue messaging as additional flight plans are finalized. Please note, these flights will be subject to reimbursement.
U.S. citizens not in Lima or Cusco who are interested in charter flights should shelter in place until receiving flight information and transportation details from the Embassy. The Embassy is working with Peruvian authorities to ensure smooth transit for confirmed passengers within quarantine protocols. The U.S. Embassy in Lima recommends U.S. citizens in Peru to adhere to all quarantine measures.

If you have not yet contacted us, please e-mail the following information to LIMAACS@state.gov inbox if you are interested in such a flight.  Our primary method of communication is by email.  In the subject line of your e-mail, please write “Flight Registration: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME.”

In your email please provide the following:
•     Full name
•     U.S. Passport number
•     Date of birth
•     Gender
•     Email address
•     Phone number
•     Current location and address

If you have contacted Limaacs@state.gov or cuscoacs@state.gov regarding evacuation from Peru, we have your information and there is no need to write again.  We will contact you with instructions once we have additional information regarding flights.

Alert – U.S. Embassy Lima, Peru (Mar. 22, 2020)

Location:  Peru (country-wide)

Event:   The U.S. Embassy in Lima is operating and is coordinating closely with the Peruvian Government on all options for U.S. citizens to depart the country and are arranging charter aircraft.  To date, approximately 500 American tourists departed Peru this weekend and included some of the most urgent medical cases.  The U.S. Embassy will continue messaging as additional flight plans are finalized. Please note, these flights will be subjected to reimbursement.
