Alert – Repatriation Efforts – U.S. Embassy Lima, Peru

Location:  Peru (country-wide)

Event:  As of 5:00PM today the U.S. Embassy sent approximately 1800 Americans home from Peru. Today, two flights departed Lima and one flight departed Cusco. Three more flights will leave Peru tomorrow.

This message is not a flight confirmation. Please do not proceed to the airport until you receive a separate confirmation email that you are on the next flight. If you already sent us your name, passport number, city and email, you do not need to contact us again. We are still processing hundreds of requests for repatriation. We are adding names to manifests as quickly as we can. Once we add you to a flight manifest, we will send you a confirmation email that will include an Embassy-issued travel letter and specific instructions to follow. You will also receive a link to a form that indicates you will pay the U.S. government back for the costs of travel after returning to the United States. For more information about the promissory note process, see this link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/emergencies/for-evacuated-citizens.html

We are working hard to bring #AmericansHome.
