Alert: Upcoming Holiday Restriction of Private Vehicles (December 18, 2020)
Location: Peru, countrywide
Event: The government of Peru announced that private vehicles will not be allowed to circulate on December 24 – 25, and December 31 – January 1. Taxi apps and deliveries will be allowed to operate. During those dates, the Peruvian authorities will continue to enforce curfew between midnight and 4:00 a.m. U.S. citizens in Peru should comply with the movement restrictions in this decree, found online here (in Spanish): https://busquedas.elperuano.pe/normaslegales/decreto-supremo-que-restringe-el-transito-de-vehiculos-parti-decreto-supremo-n-194-2020-pcm-1912705-4/.
