Ambassador Brian Nichols recognized two Peruvian cadets on June 16 on their admission to the Class of 2021 at service academies in the United States, and congratulated their parents and family members.
Peruvian Naval cadet César Villalobos Mendoza was accepted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and Peruvian Air Force Officer School Cadet Fernando Cortez Sifuentes was accepted to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Fernando joins 14 members of the Peruvian Air Force who are graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and César joins 47 members of the Peruvian Navy who have graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. On average, only 15 international cadets are accepted to the U.S. service academies.
