The United States Embassy in Lima invites Peruvian cultural institutions to submit proposals to the 2018 Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation contest, which opens two calls for proposals this year: one for projects requesting funds between $24,000 and $174,000, and another for projects that request funds from $200,000 to $979,000. Each call has its own procedures. Please read the Spanish version of this article for details.
All the project proposals must be related to the conservation and protection of the cultural heritage of Peru. The deadline for submission of proposals will be Saturday, December 23, 2017.
The Ambassador Fund for Cultural Preservation was established by the Congress of the United States of America in 2001, and is implemented by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to work together with developing countries on the preservation of their cultural heritage. To date, Peru has received $1,993,484 for 24 projects in 10 regions of Peru.
