PEOPLE BETWEEN 25 AND 38 YEARS OF AGE, WITH A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, WILL BE SELECTED
Community leaders interested in doing an internship in the United States, to expand their knowledge on issues such as the Environment, Tolerance and Conflict Resolution, Transparency and Accountability, as well as Women and Gender, may apply until next November 2 to comprehensive scholarships offered by the Community Solutions Program.
For the period 2023, the Community Solutions Program, sponsored by the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the US Department of State, will select young people between 25 and 38 years of age, with a minimum of two years of experience working in community development full time, part time or as a volunteer. Visit the US Embassy website, https://pe.usembassy.gov/es/education-es/#education for more information about this program and other exchange programs offered by the Embassy.
In addition to their experience as community leaders, those interested must have an advanced level in reading, writing, and speaking English.
The internship, 100% funded, lasts a total of four months. During this time, recipients will be able to work at host organizations in the United States. In addition, they will be able to access face-to-face training, online courses, professional training, and networking, by the Community Leadership Institute (CLI). With these tools, the leaders must design and plan a community initiative or project that they can implement upon their return to Peru.
