Composer and singer Kenny Wesley to perform in Cajamarca and Lima

On Wednesday, February 1, enjoy “Music in the Park” with the performances of singer-songwriters Kenny Wesley from the U.S. and Gala Brie from Peru.  The event will include pop, soul, and funk music, as well as the presentation of the first U.S.-Peru Alumni Awards, to recognize the most accomplished members of the U.S.-Peru Alumni Association.  This cultural event takes place at the Circuito Mágico del Agua starting at 7 p.m., and takes place in partnership with the Municipality of Lima.

Kenny Wesley, who travels to Peru for the first time thanks to the U.S. Embassy in collaboration with the American Music Abroad program, will also lead master classes and concerts in Cajamarca on Jan. 30.  Bass player Dennis Turner, percussionist Dante Pope, and guitarist Zachary Cutler will perform with Kenny, who will perform his songs titled “Feels good,” “Missin’ you,” and “Won’t let it go.”

Gala Brie (stage name for Gabriela Gastelumendi) will perform songs from her first album “Intensos instantes,” including “Me voy haciendo realidad” and “Si tienes que hacerlo, hazlo.” Gala Brie is a singer, songwriter and actress.
