Downtown Protests (May 6, 2022)
Protests are expected tomorrow, May 7, in downtown Lima. Protesters are scheduled to begin gathering in the Campo de Marte area at 4:00 p.m. and are scheduled to begin marching/moving towards Paseo de los Heroes Navales at 6:00 p.m. Traffic congestion, disruptions, and heavy police presence are anticipated. Please avoid these areas as protests and demonstrations can be unpredictable and quickly turn violent.

- Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
- Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
- Keep a low profile.
- Monitor local media for updates.
