Due to ongoing demonstrations at the Alfredo Rodriguez Ballón International Airport in Arequipa, Peru, authorities have suspended airport operations for the rest of December 12. Travelers should maintain contact with the airline for updates on rescheduling flights. Demonstrations are taking place throughout the country, including in the city of Arequipa and Panamericana Highway in the district of Chao in La Libertad region. Additional locations throughout Peru may be affected. Monitor news sources to stay informed of any changes. Please remember that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can quickly escalate and turn violent.
