Rail service between Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes, and Hidroelectrica has been suspended until further notice. Travelers remaining in Machu Picchu village/Aguas Calientes should contact local authorities (through tour companies or hotel front desks if needed) regarding available options for departure, which may involve a combination of rail, walking, and bus travel. Travelers planning to use the rail line should contact their rail service provider directly regarding rescheduling or reimbursement options.
