Event:

Demonstrations related to events in Israel and Gaza are planned for October 20 and 21 as described below and may occur again in the next several weeks.

SURCO (Lima):  A small, peaceful demonstration is expected to take place today, Friday, October 20, 2023, at 15:30 in front of the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru.  The U.S. Embassy advises that U.S. citizens avoid any demonstrations encountered.  Do not approach roadblocks and follow orders from local law enforcement.  Peruvian National Police will be present monitoring the situation and their instructions should be followed.

LINCE (Lima):  A protest march is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 21, 2023, in the Lince district starting at the Paseo de los Heroes Navales at a time yet to be determined.  The U.S. Embassy advises that U.S. citizens avoid any demonstrations encountered.  Do not approach roadblocks and follow orders from local law enforcement.  Peruvian National Police will be present monitoring the situation and their instructions should be followed.
