10 STUDENTS FROM THE "SHE IS AN ASTRONAUT" PROGRAM INTERACTED WITH EXPERTS FROM THE CONIDA SPACE AGENCY
As part of the activities of the “Resolute Sentinel 2023” exercise taking place in Peru, ten students from the “She is Astronaut” program had the incredible opportunity to visit the Operations Center of Satellite images of the Space Agency of Peru (CONIDA by its acronym in Spanish). During this event, the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers for young people and the Embassy’s commitment to supporting these initiatives were emphasized.
Since the moment the students arrived at CONIDA, they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of space exploration while touring the facilities and learning about the exciting operations and technological advances that take place in this Operations Center.
The students participated in interactive activities, where they asked questions to pique their curiosity and passion to pursue their dreams in these fields.
The Embassy reaffirms its commitment to support and promote these initiatives, recognizing the importance of STEM careers in the growth and development of nations and inspiring young people to explore and pursue careers in these fields.
