The Embassy of the United States, through its offices the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), organized a training course “Crisis and Hostage Negotiation” dictated by four FBI instructors to 32 officers from various specialized units of the National Police of Peru (PNP).
The United States reaffirms its commitment to strengthen the capabilities of the National Police of Peru to provide security to citizens and support the development and well-being of the country.
The FBI Legal Attaché Norman Quilichini, the Head of the International Narcotics Affairs and Law Enforcement Section (INL), Charles Sewall, and the PNP General Commander Vicente Tiburcio congratulated the 32 members of the police who completed this intensive training course that started on March 21. The director of the Directorate against Terrorism, General Oscar Arriola Delgado, is one of the 32 officers certified as negotiators.
The Embassy of the United States, through the Section of International Narcotics Affairs and Law Enforcement (INL), supports the police with a series of training programs and equipment to more effectively combat criminal activity and protect the rights of Peruvian citizens.
