Lima, July 7, 2021.- The United States Government sent the second batch of one million Pfizer vaccines donated to Peru to support the fight against COVID-19. Also, the U.S. government donation 65 additional ultra-refrigerators that allow the vaccines to be kept at the appropriate temperatures.
The Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy in Peru, John McNamara, pointed out that the arrival of this second batch of vaccines completes delivery to Peru of the full donation of two million Pfizer vaccines announced by the United States Government.
Deputy Chief of Mission McNamara stressed that “We are together, shoulder to shoulder.”
The two million vaccines that we are donating are part of the effort to save the lives of many Peruvians and it is a sign of commitment and friendship between the United States and Peru,” said Minister Counselor McNamara.
